Description

Mars Marine is a top-down, wave-based shooter. The player controls a marine on mars and has to fight off enemy aliens that attack in waves.

The player HUD shows the player's health, kill count, current wave and the number of enemies currently present in the level.

Each wave increases in difficulty with more enemies spawning to attack the player. The player has limited health pickups to replenish their health after taking damage.

Added a functional Main Menu, Pause menu and Game over screen. The game can now be paused and restarted.

The game also records the highest kills the player gets and saves it between sessions. The saved high score can also be reset from the pause menu.

The game now has a 'Nuke' powerup which spawns on the map after the player kills a certain number of enemies. The player can use this powerup to instantly kill all enemies present on the map at that point.
